Being completely non-intrusive, Reiki does not involve physical manipulation, nor does it require the ingestion or application of any substances. It is a vibrational healing practice used to promote balance throughout the human system, as well as establishing a sense of peacefulness and ease within oneself.
During a Reiki treatment, a practitioner works with and transfers universal life-force energy from the surroundings to the client by laying hands on, or immediately above, the client. Many recipients of Reiki report a wonderful radiance flowing through them after a session, or feel a subtle physical vibration and balancing of emotions.
